I Quit the Medium Hamster Wheel.
Alex is officially dead.
I got an email yesterday from a follower asking if I’m okay or dead, and why the heck I’m not posting anymore.
It’s been a long time since I stopped writing on Medium—literally for the last 3 months, I did nothing.
Because I'm tired. (Also, I was on a social media detox and enjoying my offline life.)
After the change of the new algorithm, all writers are focusing on money instead of creating something new.
Plus, I also don't have any unique content ideas, so I stopped writing.
My goal has always been to do something new and better.
So, I'm changing my format. I mean my content format.
Now, instead of writing posts sharing out-of-the-box side hustles, earnings, and flashing money...
Like what I used to do and what other writers are doing right now...
Let's do something different again.
Also, I noticed a trend on Medium recently where every writer seems to be a Medium Growth Guru.
Teaching how to make bank on Medium.
My feed is bombarded with these articles.
